Photography WITHOUT Adobe

Ever since Adobe made Creative Cloud subscriptions the only option to be up-to-date with all of their software was the day I started looking for alternative ways of working on my photography without Adobe.

I am not against a subscription based model, but Adobe has started updating software on your computer to the latest version by erasing the old one even if your plugins aren't compatible or if the new version is loaded with bugs. This occurred for many photographers in the 2015 update causing many, myself included, to install the old versions of Adobe's software.

For such a large company, it always amazes me how little they test their own software. At one point the updated software couldn't run at all on Mac OS X El Capitan even though it was out a month earlier than the released update. With that rant said, I'll show you a new way of working on your photography from beginning to end without Adobe.

I don't hate Adobe, but they have become used to being at the top and started getting sloppy with their updates. I can't tell you the number of photos/projects I have lost due to their apps crashing and corrupting my files. The apps mentioned above are some of the best alternatives to their two most used apps by photographers; Lightroom and Photoshop. If you know of any other apps you'd recommend, let me know below!
